In addition to providing a turn-key solution for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum manufacturing, Freeberg Industrial, an ISO-9001 certified company, offers sheet and plate cutting services. As one of the few companies in Southern California with large table lasers and water jets, Freeberg is often the only solution to cutting your large parts.
Our Cincinnati CL-840 4000W laser has a 6.5’x13′ table which is able to easily handle standard sheets and plate of up to 72″x144″. The laser is used to cut carbon steel up to 1.125″ thick and stainless steel up to 0.5″. Cutting speeds of up to 400 inches per minute (IPM) are achieved for thinner material. A typical speed for cutting 10 GA stainless steel is over 100 IPM.
In 2018, Freeberg added a Cincinnati CL-960 6000W fiber laser which has the same large 6.5’x13′ table as the CL-840, but cuts at higher speeds. Sample CL-960 cut speeds include 20GA stainless steel at 3150 IPM, 0.090″ Aluminum at 1760 IPM, and .5″ Aluminum at 60 IPM.
Our three Omax Water Jet machines have tables up to 80″x160″ and can cut just about any material up to 6″. Though water jet can cut just about anything, cutting speed is much slower than the laser. Typical speeds for cutting are between 4 and 10 IPM.
We understand that getting cut material may be stopping your production. For that reason, Freeberg will try to get you a quick turn on your cutting requirements. We can often get a job running the same day depending on material availability. We will cut customer furnished material or we will quote cut material turn-key.
