Marc Brown, President and CEO, and James St. John acquired Freeberg Industrial Fabrication Corp in March of 2012 from the Freeberg family. Both Jim and Marc are accomplished entrepreneurs with proven success in starting, running, and selling businesses since the early 1990’s. Jim holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Systems Management. Marc earned an MBA in addition to a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Marc and Jim share a common philosophy with the Freeberg family in terms of an unyielding commitment to quality and on-time delivery. The company has retained its experienced team of engineers and fabricators while continuing to develop new talent. The company has invested heavily in supplying this team with the tools needed to make them even more effective. Over the past few years, Freeberg has newly installed a CO2 Laser, a Fiber Laser, and Brake Press.
We also believe that quality and on-time delivery should not come at the expense of providing competitive pricing. Often considered mutually exclusive, cost, quality, and delivery time can be achieved together due to Freeberg’s focus on increasing efficiencies, removing waste, and wringing out unnecessary costs. With his contract manufacturing company experience, Jim understands the importance of providing high-quality parts at the lowest cost to his OEM customers. This competitive pricing philosophy also extends to Marc, who came out of the embedded computer market. The only way to compete against the Asian computer manufacturers was to offer customers lower costs and improved functionality while maintaining the highest quality and customer service. The management team at Freeberg truly understands what it takes to keep happy, long-term customers.
Together, Marc and Jim and the entire Freeberg Industrial team are committed to continuing our single-minded focus to consistently improve quality, price and delivery to our customers. We are proud to build in America.
